Former deputy of the regional Duma, State Duma and owner of the Krasnaya Polyana poultry farm, Alexander Chetverikov, commented on the situation with the rise in price of eggs that are not produced in the region. “As far as I remember my work in the Kursk region, former governor Alexander Mikhailov and his team were engaged in sabotage, attacking factories and producing chicken eggs. And all because of personal enmity, to settle scores with me. To correct the fact that I, unlike many, spoke out openly, pointing out their stupidity in their work. Here are the actions in different regions that are producing results today. We must admit that few chicken eggs are produced in the country, restore production volumes for them – a very difficult task and requires a lot of effort. time. It will be impossible to import eggs in the desired volumes. This means that prices will rise every October-March, and there will be an increasing shortage during this period. Unfortunately, without qualitative changes in this area, this is only a forecast,” notes Alexander Chetverikov (spelling and punctuation preserved). In 2010, the Krasnaya Polyana poultry farm closed. Then it was noted that the decision to slaughter the livestock was made “due to the impossibility of ensuring feed supplies due to the closure of the poultry farm,” which “could have been avoided if the enterprise had managed to obtain a loan from Rosselkhozbank.” The company explained the situation by “market conditions” and complained about the inaction of the Kursk authorities. “We see an increase in prices not only in the Kursk region, but throughout Russia. We do not produce chicken eggs, we import them from other regions, including neighboring ones. One of the reasons for the decline in chicken and egg production was poultry farming. In addition, the growth in the cost of such products is influenced by imported components: additives, medicines, equipment,” said Governor Roman Starovoit. Photo: Alexander Demchenko
