All last week, from April 22 to 27, a festival in the field of unmanned aircraft systems (UAVs) was held at the Center for Advanced Studies (CPOP) of the Samara region. More than two hundred and fifty high school students from all over the province went to Toyatti to gain practical experience in professions that are already in demand in unmanned aircraft today, and will be needed even more tomorrow: designers, programmers, drone operators. And to make the process more fun, it was presented in the form of a search. This project was implemented by the Center for Advanced Studies together with the University of the National Technology Initiative 2035. It is worth noting that the Center for Advanced Studies (CPOT) of the Samara region has been operating since 2020 and acts as an aggregator of regional resources on career guidance, accelerated vocational training, preparation, retraining, promotion of all categories of citizens for the most in-demand, new and promising professions. As Ekaterina Makarova, deputy head of the department for work with youth at the ALS Competence Center of the University 2035, noted, the festival is being held for the first time and is part of the federal project “Man for ALS.” “It is designed to help schoolchildren and those considering retraining to better understand the industry and choose a career. Participants will be able to observe everything that happens on site, take part in tests, fly and learn how drones are used in civilian areas,” they explained. . Ekaterina Makarova. Festival visitors, going station by station, had the opportunity to try piloting unmanned aerial vehicles both on a special track and in virtual reality using simulators. Quadrosim, one of the main partners of the event, provided the organizers with its developments – drone flight simulators. This equipment was created by Russian developers specifically to develop UAV control capabilities. At seven stations, young people also learned the basic principles of drone design, learned how to assemble them, and learned about the prospects for the development of the UAV industry. As mentors working with schoolchildren at the festival noted, teenagers surprisingly easily and quickly learned to operate new equipment, as if it were just another computer toy. Many, even those who picked up a drone control panel for the first time, managed to overcome not the easiest obstacle course. TsOPP instructor, one of the most experienced drone pilots in the Samara region, participant in the Russian national UAV development program Sergei Bobin defined the goals and objectives of the festival as follows: “We strive to ensure that teenagers choose their future profession consciously, having. gained their own experience, and not at the direction of their parents. Young people are very interested in drones and they are easy to fly. Sergey recalled that this year a new national project for the development of unmanned aerial systems was launched in Russia. The region is actively involved in its implementation. The state has set a goal to train a million specialists in the field of unmanned aircraft by 2030. We are talking not only about pilots, but also about UAV designers, builders and engineers. Already today, the profession of a drone pilot can be obtained completely free of charge at the Advanced Training Center of the Samara Region. “Last fall, we were the first in Russia to train 109 foresters to pilot drones. They need these skills to patrol forests with UAVs and protect them from poachers and fires. We received more than a thousand applications from foresters from all over Russia. Their employees need training to work with drones, including hands-on training. Forestry is only a small part of the possible use of drones in modern Russian realities. Agriculture, media, petrochemistry, construction, energy, geological research, Ministry of Emergency Situations, police. , delivery of goods and cargo, from medicines to pizza – this is an incomplete list of areas where drones are already being used today, and activity is only increasing every day. This means that the need for specialists who could develop and produce UAVs will quickly increase. for specific tasks, and also skillfully manage them.
