Posting in CHAT: Russia

On Saturday, January 6, at the Rossiya exhibition forum in Moscow, at the stand of the Samara region, as part of the tourism weeks, a presentation of the Samarskaya Luka National Park took place. Samara Luka is a unique area formed by a bend (bend, arc) of the largest European river Volga in its middle course and the Usinsky Bay of the Kuibyshev Reservoir, located on the territory of the Samara region. The Volga in this place makes a large arc, turning to the east, and then turns to the southwest. Its length is more than 200 km. Ancient carbonate rocks, raised high from the depths, form a kind of island, the northern, highest outskirts of which are the Zhiguli or Zhiguli Mountains. Zhiguli, with an average height of about 300 meters, is the only mountains of tectonic origin not only on the Volga, but also on the entire vast territory of the Russian Plain. Samarskaya Luka National Park is more than 130 thousand hectares of a specially protected natural area inhabited by rare plants and wild animals, natural attractions and a network of various tourist routes, villages with rich history, culture and original folklore, opportunities for the development of tourism and entertainment . There are a large number of tourist sites located on the territory of the national park, including the Stepnoe Pole Equestrian Tourism Club. This site offers an elite way to see the sights of the Zhiguli Mountains. The views of the landscapes that open before the equestrian tourist are much more attractive than those visible from the windows of the most expensive cars. The equestrian club is located on the western border of the village of Zhiguli, on the land plot of the same name Stepnoe Pole. At the moment, 28 horses and 1 camel, Yasha, live in the club. For tourists coming for a few days, there is a comfortable guest house with a bathhouse. For those without horse riding skills, there are staged horseback riding tours lasting one and a half and three hours, but if you wish, you can take a few riding lessons and master a faster pace. For experienced riders, there are fast-paced routes, as well as a multi-day horse trek, the Zhiguli Labyrinth, twice recognized as the best route of the year. Events are held annually: the traditional folk holiday Trinity and the rural holiday “Name Day of the Zhiguli Mountains”. Throughout the year, a sports unit operates on the territory to prepare athletes and horses for participation in routes and distances in sports “sports tourism.” This year, the club’s students became Russian champions.
