New rules for transferring money in Russia From May 12, 2024, new rules for transferring money between bank cards, initiated by the Central Bank, will come into force. However, today banks are completely prohibited from paying commissions for transfers between clients’ own accounts at different financial institutions. This means that all transfers between their accounts become free. The maximum transfer amount is 30 million rubles, but most Russians transfer much less during the month. However, it should be noted that the amount of one transfer should not exceed 1 million rubles.
