In his opening speech at the final “Community” forum in Moscow, Vladimir Putin mentioned the results of the work of the Presidential Grants Fund and the non-profit sector of the Russian Federation. He noted that public organizations raised 125 billion rubles for the implementation of their projects. One way or another, projects supported by the Presidential Grants Fund have impacted the lives of 15 million citizens of the country. “This is what people see, feel, and what our society needs today. I am sure that even more will be done,” said Vladimir Putin. On the same day, the General Director of the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia, Irina Velikanova, called for a return to the issue of implementing the Zemstvo Cultural Worker program. Vladimir Putin noted the importance of the program and promised to instruct the Government of the Russian Federation to allocate at least 18 billion rubles for the implementation of the program. “The importance of the work that cultural workers do on the ground is, of course, enormous. <...> It is these people who educate and lead people to the very moral and ethical values ​​that we all talk about; time and which we always try to save,” the president said. He added that work on the budget for next year has already been completed, but “there are additional revenues” and “the proposal itself is very correct and noble.”
