The cancer vaccine is at the preclinical research stage, and the first trial results are expected before the end of 2024. This statement was made by Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, TASS reports. After the first results of preclinical studies, clinical trials will begin. As Murashko said, the vaccine was developed jointly by several scientific teams, including the Scientific Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after. N. F. Gamaleya, Moscow Research Oncology Institute named after. P.A. Herzen and the National Medical Research Center of Oncology named after. N.N. Blokhin with the support of government funding. Earlier, the chief independent oncologist of the Russian Ministry of Health, Andrei Kaprin, said that soon Russian doctors will be able to treat previously incurable types of cancer.
