The new plastic assembly complex will allow the production of up to 18 million packaged microcircuits per year. Among them is the first completely domestic microcontroller with a core based on the open RISC-V architecture MIK32 “Amur”, as well as electronic microcircuits, transistors, stabilizers, amplifiers and other electronic components. Plastic-packaged chips are widely used in consumer and industrial electronics, such as telecommunications equipment, auto electronics, Internet of Things and smart home equipment, electricity meters, automation, robotics, medical equipment and meters. The new line of chip modules will allow Mikron to double its production capacity for these products – up to 56 million units per year. They are used in the production of Mir bank cards, international passports, cryptographic information security tools, as well as SIM cards. The main clients are manufacturers of Mir bank cards, tokens and Goznak.
