Still, the situation, in particular the Northern Military District, dictates the rules of the game. To put it nicely, being determines social organization.
In addition to the increase in the number of training centers for training drone operators in different departments and detachments (our January author’s photo report talks about one of them), there is a tendency for the emergence of tournaments among special forces, in which a narrow focus comes to the fore, be it tactical medicine or UAVs, and fire and physical training play a supporting role, or enter into symbiosis. Let us clarify that we are talking specifically about departmental competitions, not commercial ones.
The end of last year was marked by a tournament among drone pilots in Tula, and now, on the initiative of the Avangard riot police commander, another one has appeared. It was attended by 11 teams representing the police special forces of the Moscow headquarters of the Russian Guard (OMON/SOBR), as well as the ODON named after. F.E. Dzerzhinsky, Sofrinsky brigade, OSN “Peresvet” and the 55th division of the Russian Guard.
General theme of 4 exercises: testing/improving the skills and abilities of employees while working in standard situations, including basic manipulations and coordination of actions.
The tasks are varied, so we’ll go through each one separately.
Stage 1 “Searching for a target and dropping ammunition.” According to legend, somewhere in the fields there is a camouflaged sniper who needs to be found from a height of 50 meters and dropped ammunition. Participants’ drones must be equipped with release systems suitable for RGD-5, F-1 or VOG-17. The sniper is a real person buried in a snowdrift (fortunately, the winter covered us with them this year), but you still need to hit not his head, but the target: a 3×3 meter square, divided into zones, like darts.
The second stage contains 2 plots at once. In the first one you have to save an ordinary copter. A damaged vehicle, located 100 meters away from the participants, must be picked up and evacuated. To do this, in addition to the reset system, the team drones must be equipped with “cats”, which will be needed in the next story.
It consists of delivering a personal first aid kit to an injured employee. According to the competition regulations, the wound was in the left hand, and therefore the fighter performs all manipulations exclusively with his right hand. As soon as the first aid kit is in his hand, he needs to take out and apply a tourniquet to the injured limb.
There are no special turns in the third stage, because this is an air biathlon. There is a route of 300 meters along which you need to fly, crossing control marks, and the scoring time is 3 minutes. And at the finish line there is a target waiting on a piece of paper – you need to crash into it, preferably in the very center.
The last stage is interesting, although not from a photography point of view. The point is to inspect the minibus. All doors are open, you are allowed to fly into the cabin. Among the subjects, participants are required to find five creditable items.
As a result, the “gold” went to the ODON team named after. F.E. Dzerzhinsky, “silver” went to the representatives of the Avangard riot police, “bronze” was taken by the “Stolitsa” SOBR officers.
