Unlike the usual red, yellow, and green lights, they will have a white flashing light and will not indicate whether you should go or stop, but will warn of pedestrians crossing. The first traffic lights with a white lunar section appeared in Vladivostok at the intersection near the Avangard stadium – on the descent from Kapitana Shefnera Street to Svetlanskaya Street and on the ascent from Dalzavodskaya to Svetlanskaya Street. They will warn drivers to yield to pedestrians when turning. The Traffic Management Center warned that the traffic lights at this intersection may be temporarily disabled due to the work. The traffic light with the “white pedestrian” was added to the road rules in March of this year. It represents a pedestrian silhouette and a moon-white arrow. It is installed as an additional section to the main traffic light and operates in flashing mode. The white flashing light warns the driver about the regulated pedestrian crossing, where the pedestrian traffic light is already green. It does not introduce new rules, as paragraph 13.1 of the Rules of the Road already requires drivers to yield to pedestrians at intersections, and is only intended to provide additional information to drivers.
