For volunteers, every soldier at the front is like a brother – Russia today Posting in CHAT: Russia Parishioners of the Moscow Saints Cathedral Church in Bibirevo regularly send humanitarian aid for our soldiers. And recently we mastered weaving camouflage capes. The master class on the territory of the temple was organized by the Russian Troika Charitable Foundation. Its leader, Ekaterina Kuznetsova, lives not far from the temple. She noted that many sections and interest groups are organized here, both creative and sports. But at the same time, social work was not very developed. Then she turned to the rector of the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Bibirevo, on whose territory the parish is located, priest Pavel Simonov. He blessed the work of the workshop to help soldiers. Parishioners began to participate in her work. Among them there are many people who cannot help the front financially, but really want to participate in the common cause. The workshop began producing everything that could be useful to our guys on the front line. For example, they began to make special dry raincoats and balaclavas. Then local craftsmen made a special base on which large camouflage nets could be weaved. And more recently, local craftsmen have mastered the production of camouflage capes. Unlike nets, they are designed to camouflage each individual soldier from the enemy. First, parishioners attach small sections of camouflage to the net. Then it is sewn in a certain way, making something like a poncho. This cape has an advantage over camouflage suits, which are made in some workshops. Because it can be torn off at any time. For example, if it suddenly catches fire or gets caught on an obstacle. “We were simply brought up this way from childhood: when the country is in trouble and difficulty, we must be with it, come to the rescue,” notes volunteer Elena. Orlova. “But since we are girls, we cannot go to the front.” But it’s also impossible to sit idly by! Therefore, we did not stand aside. The girls asked their husbands to make special devices for nets and at home so that weaving could be done even in the evening. Volunteers also note that such homemade heads have their advantages over those produced on an industrial scale. After all, to detect our fighters and positions, the enemy also uses systems with an element of artificial intelligence, and he can also remember and recognize repeating factory camouflages. And when such capes and nets are woven by hand, each pattern is individual. All products produced in the workshop are sent to the soldiers of the Russian Troika Foundation independently. This way you can maintain constant contact with the guys on the front line and always be aware of what help they need at the moment. And it is important for fighters to feel this popular support. To understand that somewhere far in the depths, simple Russian girls are carefully knitting camouflage for them, arranging dry rains. “When working on nets and camouflage dresses, I sometimes remember the fairy tale “Wild Swans,” says Elena Orlova. – We, like her heroine, remember her. Eliza weaves “shirts” for our brothers so that they can hide and save them. After all, each of our soldiers is like a brother to us. DIRECT SPEECH Katerina Kuznetsova, head of the Russian Troika charitable foundation: - Our foundation was officially registered in February 2022. Even before the start of the SVO, we were engaged in charitable activities - I collect humanitarian supplies myself and transport them. We mainly transported goods to the DPR. Now we have started traveling to Mariupol and Zaporozhye. We always maintain dialogue with other funds and make joint decisions on how to help our children now. Source link Source link
