Many do not know that in the famous comedy about the adventures of Shurik, Leonid Gaidai changed the plot of the story “Obsession,” in which Shurik (Demyanenko) and Lida (Selezneva) are preparing for the exam. The essence of the dispute was how this funny student love story would end. Remember how the story in the film ends? Shuriko and Lida kiss and agree to meet “the day after tomorrow after the exam.” Starting tomorrow, they will both be preparing for this, but it turns out that according to the scriptwriter’s plan, the story did not end there. After the episode with the evening lyrical farewell, the film should have one more episode. In the morning, on the day of the exam, on a crowded tram, Shuriko and Lida find themselves side by side again. Just like last time, they are both busy studying their notes, so they don’t pay attention to those around them. and do not notice each other, the crowd presses them against each other, and Lida accidentally pushes Shurik with her elbow, slowing down the tram. He, without looking up from his notes, angrily pushes her away from him. Now Lida herself is angry. Also, without looking back, she deliberately elbows Shuriko, who is standing behind him, again. After the stunning success of the comedy, Maurice Romanovich admitted that Gaidai was right and even thanked him for his perseverance.
