Few people know that Eldar Ryazanov was not only a film director, TV presenter and writer, but also a poet. His poems are either lyrical or imbued with the satire characteristic of the author. Sometimes you can find philosophical reasoning in them – through poetry Ryazanov understood his life and the surrounding reality, shared what worried him as a person and a citizen. Visitors to the event will be able to learn about the poet Ryazanov, his favorite poems and how deeply poetry reveals the personality of a film director. The guiding thread of the director’s path was often the connection between generations. In the lecture dedicated to Father’s Day, we will talk about the great fathers who influenced the development of cinema, using the example of the “male line” of the German and Tarkovsky dynasties. Visitors will learn about family ties and their influence on specific artistic decisions in cinema, as well as the creative perspective of film classics. The lecture will take place on the eve of Father’s Day as part of the Year of the Family. Entrance to the event is 200 rubles. It will be read by historian and chief curator of the museum Tatyana Pulnaya. Most studies of the daily lives of city dwellers in the last century concern women and children. The lives of men were studied rather superficially. At the lecture, guests will learn about the life of a Samara master, city dweller, nobleman: what he did, how he rested, what he read. Also, using the example of pre-revolutionary newspaper advertising, we will talk about men’s fashion and find out where men’s stores were located in our city more than 100 years ago and what could be bought in them.
