The labor reform proposed by the new Argentine President Javier Maili was declared unconstitutional by the court. Thus, the call of the country’s trade unions was supported, RIA Novosti reports. Earlier, Miley signed a decree on more than 300 reforms to liberalize the economy. They were collected into a package of bills and sent to parliament. However, these laws will take effect before being approved by representatives and senators, and will only expire if they are not supported. In particular, Miley’s reform extends the probationary period for employees from three to eight months and exempts employers from paying fines for improper registration of subordinates. In addition, the list of significant industries in which employers will be able to fire employees if they take part in strikes is expanding. Trade unions in Argentina have already twice organized protests against the Miley reform.
