The Moscow City Court extended until June 30 the arrest of American journalist Evan Gershkovich, accused in Russia of espionage. TASS reports the department’s decision. Gershkovich was arrested at the end of March last year in Yekaterinburg. According to the FSB, he acted on instructions from the American side and collected state secrets about the activities of one of the enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. The court hearing was held behind closed doors because the case contains confidential materials.
