T Plus power engineers took part in the selection of projects at the CASE-IN engineering championship Posting in CHAT: Russia Representatives of the T Plus company took part in the evaluation of projects of the XII International Engineering Championship CASE-IN in the field of thermal power engineering. 8 teams, consisting mainly of senior students of the Thermal Power Engineering Faculty (TEF) of SamSTU, presented their projects to the jury. The competitors were presented with the general topic “Optimization of the operation of the thermal power system.” As part of the solution to this case, it was proposed to develop a unique project for transferring heat load from boiler houses to a power plant and justify its effectiveness. The priorities for the students were to ensure uninterrupted hot and cold supply to the residents of the metropolis, as well as the use of lean manufacturing tools. Based on the results of the defenses, an expert commission consisting of faculty teachers and specialists from the Samara branch of PJSC “T Plus”, headed by TEF Dean Konstantin Trubitsyn, awarded the teams prizes: – 1st place – “Green Goats” team (captain – Ivan Kozhin); — 2nd place — team “Teplopuziki” (captain — Kovyazin Lev); – 3rd place – team “HPTeam” (captain – Anna Shvyndenkova). The winning team will take part in the final stage of the XII International Engineering Championship CASE-IN, which will be held in Moscow at the end of May 2024. “The CASE-IN Championship provides an opportunity for young people from different regions of Russia to develop by solving real production problems and engaging in scientific and technical creativity. For some SamSTU students, participation in the engineering championship becomes a stepping stone to employment at the T Plus company,” noted the technical director and chief engineer of the Samara State District. Power plant Viktor Yashin: “In fact, it was difficult to identify the winners. Representatives of the T Plus company noted that all solutions to cases can be implemented in production. I hope that we will meet the current composition of the teams at the facility,” Konstantin Trubitsyn, dean of the Faculty of Thermal and Electrical Engineering, assessed the results of the event. The International Engineering Championship CASE-IN is an international solution competition system. engineering cases between schoolchildren, students and young specialists from the fuel and energy complex and mineral resource complexes. T Plus annually acts as a partner of the engineering championship. Young employees of the company's branches participate in the qualifying stages of the Youth League. CASE-IN experts are professionals and company representatives. Source link Source link

Engineering and sapper units of the Southern Group of Forces, using robotic systems, carry out continuous demining of areas in populated areas of the LPR Posting in CHAT: RussiaMore details: https://lnr-news.ru/incident/2024/03/21/343111.html Soldiers of a separate engineer battalion of the 2nd Army Corps are carrying out mine clearance work in populated areas of the Lugansk People's Republic, both in rear areas and near the line of combat contact. First of all, sappers make passages in the area to repair old and build new communications, restore and create infrastructure in the region by federal and city services: restoration of highways, laying main pipelines, installing power lines. Military engineers are also carrying out complete demining of the region’s farmland for further processing and sowing of fertile lands. When clearing mines, engineering units widely use Uran-6 robotic complexes. Thanks to them, a larger volume of territory is covered and the risk for sappers is significantly reduced. During mine clearance, engineering and sapper units daily process up to one hectare of land and neutralize up to several dozen explosive ordnance (HE), including NATO-type ones. Once every few days, as the detected explosive substances accumulate, they are destroyed by detonation in cordoned off areas of the area. Original source Source link

At the “Russia” exhibition, they presented the experience of creating advanced engineering schools using the example of PIAS of Samara University. Posting in CHAT: Russia On Saturday, February 17, the Thematic Day “Science and Universities” will be held at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia”. Samaritan scientists took part in the forum program. The business program began with a plenary session, moderated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. He spoke about the main results and achievements of science and higher education. According to Dmitry Chernyshenko, our country is now in difficult, but at the same time unique conditions, when new opportunities are opening up. “The key task of the Decade of Science and Technology, announced by the President, was to attract and retain personnel in science, especially among young people. And in 2022, we managed to reverse the trend of outflow of specialists from science. The number of employees engaged in research and development has increased and reached 670 thousand people. Positive dynamics allow Russia to maintain fifth place in the number of scientific workers in the world. There is already a constant trend of an influx of young people into science. This suggests that the measures implemented on the instructions of the president to support young scientists turned out to be effective,” noted Dmitry Chernyshenko. He also spoke about the scientific and technological development management system, key tools for technological management and training of scientific personnel. “Pure research requires modern scientific infrastructure. As part of the national project “Science and Universities,” more than 40% of the instrument base of leading scientific organizations has been updated. This is an infrastructure renewal program unprecedented in its scale and scope. Contemporary history of Russia. In 2024, subsidies for modernization “195 scientific institutions will receive an instrument base worth about 11.3 billion rubles. More than 30% of this equipment is Russian-made. This will allow us to solve the task set by the President to update the instrumental base in leading scientific organizations by at least 50%,” the vice-president emphasized. Young scientists spoke about continuing research and building a career in the scientific field. One of them The speakers at the plenary session were the Vice-Rector of Samara University Ivan Tkachenko, the director of the Korolev Higher Aerospace Engineering School, who spoke about the implementation of the project to create Higher Engineering Schools in Russia using the example of PIAS of Samara University. Korolev, whose boundary task is the transition from single to serial production of aerospace equipment. Currently, 250 students are studying at PIAS, the first graduation will take place this year. Industrial partners will accept the first 75 engineers of the new formation, trained under the leadership of Korolev. new programs and training in real production under the guidance of mentors. As part of the thematic day “Science and Universities”, a presentation of young scientists from Samara University took place at the stand of the Samara region. Korolev, who presented his scientific developments in the Science Slam format. The event was moderated by the head of the laboratory of the Department of Metal Forming, head of the Science Slam movement in the Samara region, Alexander Kuzin. Denis Avaryaskin, associate professor of the interuniversity department of space research, discussed the topic “Nanosatellites in Russian,” and the head of the laboratory of the department of theoretical mechanics, Ruslan Pikalov, spoke about the “Subbotnik in orbit.” Source link Source link
