Since 2019, a Unified Dispatch Center has been operating in the capital, ensuring safe and uninterrupted operation of the metro. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced this on Saturday, March 30. Most of the metro services are combined in one building of the center. They monitor compliance with train schedules, provide voltage to sections of the track, and control the operation of power systems. In addition, specialists take care of the safe descent and ascent of passengers on escalators, control the comfortable temperature level at stations and the operation of ventilation shafts. A so-called control circle is responsible for each metro line. Its employees can instantly exchange information and make the right decisions. Using digital technologies, the center’s specialists monitor the operation of the entire metro as a whole. “Thanks to the employees of the Unified Dispatch Center, the Moscow metro is becoming even more reliable and convenient for passengers,” Sergei Sobyanin said in the Telegram channel. The work of the Unified Dispatch Center saves more than 100 hours of passengers’ time annually. Thanks to his employees, the metro train schedule is observed with high accuracy – more than 99 percent.
