At the age of 79, after a long illness, People’s Artist of Yakutia, famous musicologist, founder of the Museum of Music and Folklore of the Peoples of Yakutia Aiza Reshetnikova died. The press service of the museum writes about this. “Until recently, Aiza Petrovna was sick in her soul and heart from the further development of her idea! We, as successors to the work of our mentor, will move forward, developing and promoting our Museum of Music and Folklore of the Peoples of Yakutia! The museum staff expresses their condolences to the family and friends of Aiza Petrovna Reshetnikova. The bright memory of the creator of our museum will remain in our hearts!” – says the obituary. It is clarified that the farewell to the People’s Artist will take place on May 14, the place and time of the civil commemoration will be announced later. Reshetnikova created the Museum of Music and Folklore of the Peoples of Yakutia in 1989. Under her leadership, until 2019, the number of exhibits in the fund exceeded 12 thousand items. Aiza Reshetnikova has prepared and produced more than 200 radio and 150 television programs, and was the author of more than 40 scientific publications and presentations at international conferences. It was previously reported that film, theater and television actress, producer, screenwriter and director Vera Chekhova died at the age of 84.
