It is noted that both countries actively participate in the SCO. Earlier, observers from the SCO, as well as from the CIS countries, Asia and Africa, recognized the Russian presidential elections, held on March 15-17, as “legal, transparent and democratic.” SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming said that 19 observers, parliamentary representatives and secretariat employees from SCO member countries, including, in addition to the CIS countries, China, Iran and Pakistan, worked at the Russian elections.
