On the territory of Togliatti State University, two-time Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics, six-time world champion and seven-time European champion, Honored Master of Sports Elena Posevina met with teachers, students of the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, the Humanitarian Pedagogical Institute, as well as students of the Tolyatti City Sports School of Artistic Gymnastics LADA. In total, about 90 Togliatti residents came to the meeting. Elena Posevina told the children about the difficulties and achievements on the path to sports victories and shared the story of her success. During the live conversation, she answered questions about how she began her journey in rhythmic gymnastics, who were her mentors and idols, what difficulties she encountered on the way to the Olympics and which medal was more difficult for her, and also gave advice to young athletes. . and their parents. “We talked a lot about how important the support of loved ones and family is. After all, there is a family that is nearby every day, in days of success and defeat. Today in Russia there are very great opportunities for development in sports – new sports grounds, the possibility of free classes. Of course, my native sport is rhythmic gymnastics. And my children and I talked a lot about the fact that the Russian school of rhythmic gymnastics is one of the strongest compared to other schools in the world. And first of all, thanks to people – athletes, coaches, who work on themselves every day, coming up with new, complex elements and combinations. And, of course, beauty, aesthetics and musicality are important in our school,” the athlete noted. . To date, about 200 educational events have been held, including speeches, discussions, master classes by prominent scientists, masters of science and art, public and government figures, representatives of the business community, famous athletes and other experts. The program brought together Russians from different regions of the country and foreign participants of the World Youth Festival, who will travel around the country as part of several teams.
