On March 6, new articles of the law on “digital services” came into force in the European Union, aimed at increasing competition between technology companies. The law applies to 22 services of six technology giants, namely Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, ByteDance (TikTok operator), Meta Platforms (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) and Microsoft.
