Died on February 6, 2023 while performing military duties during a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine
Oleg was born on March 19, 1996 in the village of Kudara-Somon, Kyakhtinsky district of the Republic of Buryatia.
In 2003 I went to the 1st grade of school in the village of Bain-Bulak. As a schoolboy, Oleg took an active part in the life of the class and school. Participated in sports events: football, skiing, athletics.
In 2014, Oleg was called up for military service in the Russian army. Served in the Black Sea Fleet, MRK “Mirage”. Delivered humanitarian aid to Syria.
After completing his military service, he worked in the city of Ulan-Ude, where he met his future wife. Together with his wife, Oleg Mikhailovich moved to the Trans-Baikal Territory, the village of Krasny Chikoy, where he found work at the private security company “Favorit”.
Oleg was a hardworking, purposeful, attentive and sensitive person, a true comrade. He always responded to requests and tried to help.
Oleg Mikhailovich’s family is directly related to military service. Father and both uncles connected their fate with military service.
In September 2022, Oleg decided to participate in the SVO. He completed military training, signed a contract for military service, and at the end of 2022, together with his colleagues, left to carry out assigned tasks to protect civilians in the territories of the Republics of Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
Died on February 6, 2023 while performing military duty.
For the courage and steadfastness of the guard, Private Oleg Mikhailovich Fomin was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.
Oleg is left with a loving family: parents, wife, son, younger sister.
