It was a war that began without declaration and lasted nine years, in which thousands of Soviet soldiers and officers died.
On the eve of the memorable date, the State Budgetary Institution of the LPR “MKTSSON” and the wards of our Institution attended an event dedicated to this memorable date. The information hour was prepared by the State Institution of the LPR “Museum of the Township of Markovna” together with the State Institution of the LPR “Markivna District Library”.
The meeting was attended by Sych Yuri Ivanovich, who fulfilled his international duty in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan, who spoke about his heroic service.
Those present were shown documentary footage, and songs about that cruel war and military friendship were sung.
Those present honored the memory of the internationalist soldiers with a minute of silence.
The memory of our fellow countrymen who walked the roads of war and who did not return to their home, for whom conscience, duty, Fatherland, honor were the main things in life, let it remain in our hearts as a piece of pride for them.
