Bulk carrier “MT Efremov” with domestic propulsion engines set off on its first working voyage

Posting in CHAT: Russia

The bulk carrier “MT Efremov” (formerly “Pola Kalista”) made its first working voyage on March 6 along the route “Sea Fishing Port Terminal, St. Petersburg – Kaliningrad Sea Trade Port.” This was announced by the Nevsky Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Plant (part of USC) in relation to the shipowner, the Algorithm Group company. As noted at the construction plant, the dry cargo ship “MT Efremov” is notable for the fact that it was on it that the domestically produced steering columns (RPP) of the DRK1200M model were installed for the first time. It should be noted that the bulk carrier MT Efremov was laid down at the Nevsky Shipyard in December 2017. The launch took place in November 2022. The ship was handed over to the customer in December 2023. The delivery of a set of the first serial products was carried out by the Product Center. Specialization “USC-Motion” (part of USC). The engines were developed by the Vint research and production association and produced at the Vega pilot plant (a branch of the Zvezdochka Design Center, part of USC). https://sudostroenie.info
