Another tool produced by the long-defunct Primorsky plant was installed on Russky Island. This time the piano was not painted or decorated in any other way – now it simply blackens against the background of the sea, waiting for lovers of unusual photographs and hoping that the next vandals will bypass it. The Artyomovsk piano factory “Primorye” existed from 1957 to 1995. In total, the factory produced about 100 thousand keyboard instruments. And, apparently, they have not all left yet – a new piano “Primorye” has appeared on the observation deck under the Grand Ducal Battery. At least six instruments had already been installed here, but none of them lasted long. But unlike its predecessors, the new piano is distinguished by the absence of any design. This is a laconic black instrument with a gilded inscription “Primorye” engraved on the lid and a carved panel depicting a sailboat. The condition is average – cracks in the varnish, some decorative elements are missing, corners have been removed. It is unknown who removed the next piano – the installers did not leave any contact information or autographs. Before the instrument was destroyed, those walking around Russky Island again joyfully took pictures against the backdrop of the sea.
