In the Oktyabrsky District Court of Samara, a trial is underway in the case of an alleged organized crime group that specialized in organizing prostitution under the guise of a network of massage parlors and medical services for men. The Volzhskie Novosti correspondent was informed about this at the Oktyabrsky District Prosecutor’s Office. The defendants are 11 people, accused depending on the role of each in organizing prostitution (Part 1 of Article 241 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and involvement in prostitution (Part 3 of Article 240 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). . The trial takes place behind closed doors. As explained in the control department, the 47-year-old Samara resident was accused of creating a specific business. According to investigators, around August 2015, he decided to create an organized crime group in the city to run round-the-clock dens in which girls, under the guise of masseuses, provided sexual services to men. Having started the search for accomplices, he allegedly invited a woman he had previously known to join his organized crime group, who became his closest assistant. The manager transferred to her the functions of management and control of the senior manager of the entire chain of salons. Now she is also one of the accused. Some of the defendants in the criminal case, according to investigators, were another link in the hierarchy of organized crime groups – they performed the duties of “managers” of salons. Each of them had to meet with male clients, explain to them the procedure established in the salon, inform them about the types and costs of programs for providing sexual services, ensure the selection of girls and accept payment. Administrators also controlled the uninterrupted supply of bed linen, goods from sex shops, the issuance of “salaries,” and also placed advertisements for salons on the Internet. The “managers” also had “administrators” subordinate to them. The network has developed programs to teach girls “professional wisdom” and internships. Instructions were given about the plot and in case of a police visit. In total, according to investigators, representatives of this organized crime group at different times opened four spas in Samara: “Ezhevika” in house No. 119 on the street. Leninskaya, “Silver”, in house No. 15 on the street. Shvernik, “Blueberry” in house no. 245 on Karl Marx Avenue and “BarON” in house no. 75 on st. Revolutionary. In addition to erotic massage, the programs provided for the “masters” to perform various acts of a sexual nature, but only of a surrogate nature – what in this environment is called “without penetration”. “Other” additional programs were also available to customers. According to investigators, the head of the organized crime group paid attention to maintaining secrecy and monitored the activities of the “workers,” including female craftsmen, using video surveillance, both in the territory adjacent to the salon and on the territory. There was a system of discounts for the most frequent and generous visitors. The total income of the salons, according to the testimony of one of the defendants, averaged from 4 to 5 million rubles. per month During the period of the spread of coronavirus infection, they fell to 2 million rubles. per month The head of the organized crime group, according to law enforcement officers, had complete control over the income situation and distributed the money flows himself. Girls providing sexual services received from 30% to 45% of the amount paid by clients. In addition to salaries, administrators and managers were motivated by a percentage of the salons’ revenue. The group had rules for “employees” and fines for violating them – from 500 rubles. up to 20 thousand rubles. The clouds have gathered over the network of salons in 2022. This was facilitated by the work of police officers of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Samara Region, who received data on the activities of the salons through their operational channels. . In addition, residents of Samara complained about the hectic life of the salons. In particular, in the summer of 2022, the situation with the Blackberry salon became public. As a result, salon policing ceased in 2022. A complex criminal case is currently being considered in court. The alleged organizer of the organized crime group is under house arrest, 10 of his subordinates are under house arrest. However, it is clearly too early to talk about victory over the “massage parlors for adults” industry. So, on the site of the closed salon “Ezhevika”, according to local residents, an establishment of the same profile was opened under a new sign – “Jumanji”.
