More than 100 students – beginners and IT specialists – will take part in a unique intensive course on system management and DevOps basics, as well as VSFI competitions. The event will take place from July 1 to July 7 in the Samara region. Teams of students from Moscow, Izhevsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Krasnodar, Cheboksary and, of course, Samara have already confirmed their participation. They will have to fight in the field for an informal symbol of the system administrator’s skill – a hand-painted shaman’s tambourine. The event was organized by the VolgaCTF team of international interuniversity competitions in the field of information security with the support of the Department of Information Technologies and Communications of the Samara Region, PSUTI and Samara University. The intensive program includes presentations on modern practices in the field of DevOps, application management and operation, as well as the opportunity to try out tools, frameworks and mechanics with your own hands. The block of reports and practical tasks will end with competitions. Teams of participants will have to launch a working infrastructure on site, as well as practice skills in protecting their services. In addition, the program includes intellectual and sports games, a cultural and leisure program and constant communication with leading specialists from the largest Russian IT companies, as well as independent experts. VSFI has been around for 12 years. During this time, teams from Samara, Izhevsk, Saratov, Penza, Kazan, Moscow and other cities competed for the main prize.
