Estonia has entered into a deal with France to purchase 12 Caesar grenades, a source told ERR TV. According to ERR, a contract was signed between the State Defense Investment Center (RKIK) and the French defense procurement agency DGA, as well as the KNDS company for the supply of Caesar self-propelled artillery units (SPG). The documentation indicates that the contracts provide for the possibility of additional purchases of self-propelled guns in the future. According to ERR, these contractual agreements were formalized at the defense industry exhibition Eurosatory 2024, taking place in Paris. The first stage of deliveries includes six Caesar units, which will be delivered to Estonia later this year. The final delivery of all 12 shells is scheduled for mid-2025. Previously, Armenia entered into an agreement with France on the purchase of CAESAR self-propelled artillery systems, which Paris also supplies to Kyiv.
