An experienced 70-year-old fisherman from the village of Ust-Belaya sailed by boat in the fall, but did not return even with the onset of the New Year. The wife did not immediately contact the police: her husband had previously left for a long time to be alone with nature in a hunting lodge. But this time I was somehow especially late.
Our fisherman is about 150 kilometers from the village. He was very exhausted: the food had run out a month ago. He ate fish and whatever was available, including tree bark. But I couldn’t go home because I was afraid of freezing on the way.
