Moscow Zhukovsky and Vnukovo airports are operating as normal, despite low temperatures. RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the press services of the airports. It is clarified that both airports are currently operating without restrictions on arrivals and departures. At the same time, ground services were transferred to an enhanced operating mode, since pre-flight maintenance of aircraft in such weather requires a greater amount of work. The press service of Vnukovo Airport explained that some flights may encounter slight delays due to the treatment of aircraft with a special anti-icing liquid. “All services at Vnukovo Airport work with the necessary amount of human and production resources to ensure the stable operation of all the most important systems of the airport,” airport representatives added. Earlier, Anna Zakharenkova, director of public relations at Sheremetyevo Airport, warned that due to abnormal frosts at the airport there could be delays in service for passengers and airlines. According to her, due to low temperatures, the time for servicing aircraft, passengers and baggage has increased.
