The Voronezh City Hall is starting to search for a contractor who will mark out 250 road networks. They plan to allocate up to 147.6 million rubles to pay for services. Work on improving median strips, pedestrian crossings, traffic islands and markings near bus stops must be completed by July 15. Mayor Vadim Kstenin spoke about this on Wednesday, February 7. “Since prepared sections of the road surface have been marked since the beginning of spring, when favorable weather conditions occur, road workers will actively bring the road to the correct condition. To clean and eliminate defects not with a molten mixture, as now, but with asphalt concrete,” explained the head of the city administration. “According to the mayor, the safety of the signs depends on the volume of traffic, the condition of the road surface and seasonal temperature changes.” Therefore, it is very important to use correctly selected high-quality materials. All requirements for them are included in the tender documentation. To increase the service life of the marking, strict adherence to application technology, including temperature conditions, is also necessary. The customer – the city department of road management and improvement – will have the task of monitoring the quality of work at all stages, said Vadim Kstenin.
