The regional government continues to help deliver humanitarian aid collected by representatives of large Voronezh enterprises to soldiers of the Northern Military District. The regional state institution “Civil Defense, Population Protection and Fire Safety of the Voronezh Region” provides assistance in sending food, equipment and medicines: it provides trucks. On average, the initiative group sends four trucks with cargo to units of the 20th Guards Combined Arms Army every month. The dispatch of a new set of humanitarian aid was discussed at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Girichev and businessman Mikhail Ledovsky, who provides assistance to soldiers in the area of the special military operation, and said that he took patronage over one of the boxing gyms in Lugansk and plans to organize a trip for the club’s students to the Moscow Sports Academy. The entrepreneur asked to allocate additional transport to send goods to the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, and also to study the possibility of educational trips for children’s sports teams from Donbass to the Voronezh Region – the regional government is systematically engaged in such work. The issue of participation of children from Donbass in sports and cultural events in the Voronezh region requires work with the ministries of sports and education, as well as with the structures that will be responsible for transport, food and housing, but is also solvable, Alexey Girichev emphasized. Mikhail Ledovsky also reported that he made 19 trips with cargo for military personnel (including Voronezh units) and the population to the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. At the end of the meeting, the entrepreneur presented letters of gratitude from representatives of military unit organizations. DPR Governor Alexander Gusev Earlier, the keys to the vehicle were handed over to the participants of the special operation in a Voronezh UAZ Patriot all-terrain vehicle. The event was attended by servicemen of the 20th Guards Combined Arms Army, where Voronezh residents serve.
