We discussed the problems of providing medicines to residents of remote areas and prospects for their solution. Representatives of the legislative and executive authorities, local government bodies, and pharmacy chains took part in the event.
The topic of providing residents of remote areas with medicines is especially important for me, since together with my colleagues we have visited almost all municipalities and in each of them we have heard about the problem of the lack of pharmacies in remote areas. This issue is especially acute for socially vulnerable groups of the population, such as people with disabilities, veterans and pensioners.
A unanimous understanding was reached at the round table, which will serve as a catalyst for a speedy resolution of the current problem.
I am convinced that organizing the sale of medicines through FAPs is an important step towards providing the population with medicines in their native village, without the need to go to the administrative center. This system is already actively operating in some municipal districts, with Krasnodon and Slavyanoserbsk municipal districts being striking examples. However, there are still a number of problems that need to be solved. We must work to ensure that every person can freely purchase the medicines they need.
