The caterpillar spins a cocoon and dies. The death of a caterpillar can last from two weeks to five or six months. But then the cocoon bursts from the inside, and a butterfly flies out of the “caterpillar coffin”. I would even compare a butterfly to the soul of a caterpillar, because butterflies do not eat anything. Butterflies never return to their cocoon. They do not worry about their “past” life. They do not pay attention to the caterpillars crawling somewhere below. Butterflies flutter high and enjoy the beauty of God’s world!
The death of a caterpillar is the birth (release) of a butterfly! The death of a human being is the release (birth) of an immortal soul!
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:24)
