History of the city in the collections of the Perm Museum of Local Lore” is an album representing the 300th anniversary of Perm through museum exhibits and their stories. It tells about 180 museum objects from different collections: archaeology, book monuments, geographical maps, ceramics, numismatics, entomology, their owners and participation in the development of Perm. Minister of Culture of the Perm Territory Alla Platonova congratulated her colleagues and noted that the project of the Perm Regional Historical Museum is competition with the Tretyakov Gallery, the museum-reserves “Tsaritsyno” and “Peterhof”, Shchusev.” The authors of the texts were 23 museum employees – collection curators, researchers, specialists and representatives of the museum administration who selected and studied the exhibits. It was extremely difficult for the authors to select exhibits from a collection of 628 thousand items. Congratulations to my colleagues on this high award! According to project manager Elena Merkusheva, all the objects that became the “heroes” of the book are very different in visual appeal, size, dating, manufacturing technique, which is why the texts about them turned out to be so different: “We all write these texts ourselves. For some, it’s It turns out very well, some do worse. We are all different. The most important thing for us is that we can talk about these topics in completely different ways. And some items in the museum. I’ve never seen anyone and I won’t see you soon,” says the project manager. These articles contain legends handed over to museum workers along with exhibits, and stories related to the phenomena that took place in Perm at that time. – these are stories dedicated to both famous people and non-public ones, but directly related to the history of the city and the objects described in the book “We were told that there were 49 applications in our category. This is an important award for us. This is how we talk about ourselves, about our beloved Perm. And, by the way, next year – for the 135th anniversary of the museum – we plan to publish another book, where descriptions of the exhibits will be in the same format,” summed up project manager Elena Merkusheva. In total, the prize was awarded in 16 categories. For example, “Exhibition Project”, “National Treasure”, “Museum of the Year”, “Museum Partner”, etc. Competition experts reviewed 687 applications from 76 regions of Russia. The winners were honored on May 23 as part of the Intermuseum International Festival in the new building of the Tretyakov Gallery on Kadashevskaya Embankment in Moscow. As reported by the Russian Ministry of Culture, the national award named after D.S. Likhachev will be awarded annually.
