The moment the leopard kitten hatched was caught on video. The rare footage was captured late at night using a camera trap in Land of the Leopard National Park. In the video, an adult leopard tries to involve its mother in the game, not allowing her to rest. For this playful action, the child receives an unobtrusive slap in the face – the female gently pushes him away with her hind paw. As experts from national parks said, the leopard cub is about 8-10 months old. At this age, leopard cubs play by using their “bite force” on their parents or siblings. But when the baby’s behavior becomes too persistent and inappropriate, parents can teach him a lesson in tact and “refuse” contact. Young leopards leave permanent “parental” care at the age of one and a half years.
