The “Circle of Philanthropists” marathon, organized by the “Melnitsa” foundation, took place in Petrozavodsk. Three projects from different regions of the Republic of Karelia took part in the event. Participants could vote for their favorite initiative: the number of their votes determined the final amount of donation to the project. In total, 8 applications were received for the competition, announced in front of the “Circle of Philanthropists” of the “Melnitsa” Foundation. Three initiatives were selected to participate. Author of the project “Skates for everyone!” from Olonets, Daria Savelyeva will receive 90 thousand rubles. Her project helps create comfortable conditions for sports leisure for families with children. The “Silver of Lyaskel” project, which was invented and presented at a charity evening by Marina Shashkova, will receive 85 thousand rubles. The project involves the creation of an excursion bureau on the basis of the Vira Frunto natural monument. The third project is “Coma Corto”. The candidate is Ekaterina Gnetneva from the village of Zolotets, Belomorsky district. The project to improve the playground near the library received support in the amount of 75 thousand rubles. “At the moment, projects will be implemented using the funds raised. That is, activists will carry out the most important activities according to their programs; perhaps some of the participants will find additional funding in their territories,” – Sophia, the organizer of the meeting.
