The competition is held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. The program committee approved 350 projects of young scientists from Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Congo and Russia for participation in the second stage of the competition. The authors will defend their research in person in the format of oral sessions at the All-Russian Youth Scientific Forum “Science of the Future – Science of the Young”. Photo: Samara University The main goals of the competition, set by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, are to identify and support the most talented and creatively active students and postgraduates, as well as to encourage young people to participate in scientific activities. This year, the competition, the first stage of which lasted several months, received over 3,000 applications from students and postgraduates from 450 Russian universities and research organizations. The competition was held in 10 scientific sections: agro-, bio- and food technologies; humanities; engineering sciences; information technology and mathematics; life sciences and medicine; earth sciences, ecology and nature management; materials science; social sciences; physics and astronomy; chemistry and chemical technology. Based on the results of an independent examination, a list of 350 participants who passed to the second stage was formed. According to the levels of training, 77 bachelors, 102 masters and 162 postgraduates entered the finals. The finalists from Samara Royal University are: Alexander Bagrov from the Physics and Astronomy Department, Denis Zhdanov and Artem Yurtaev from the Engineering Department, Violetta Ibragimova from the Humanities Department, Alexandra Karpenko from the Materials Science Department, Alena Kirsanova from the Information Technology and Mathematics Department, and Anna Nikitina from the Social Sciences Department. The leaders among universities in terms of the number of finalists were Lomonosov Moscow State University, Tomsk State University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, St. Petersburg State University, and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. The second stage of the Competition will be held at the IX All-Russian Youth Scientific Forum “Science of the Future – Science of the Young”, which will be held in Samara at Samara University. The forum will be held from October 29 to November 1, 2024. Experts will select the three best works in each of 10 areas of science. Latest news
