The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has taken control of the apartment with mold in the Komi Republic. The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia requested a conclusion on a criminal case in connection with a complaint about the violation of housing rights of a family with a disabled child in the city of Pechora, Komi Republic. According to the Information Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia, a resident of Pechora turned to the department’s telegram channel, expressing disagreement with the way the circumstances of the violation of his family’s housing rights were established. A woman lives with a one-year-old disabled child in unsuitable conditions in a dormitory where mold has appeared due to constant dampness, negatively affecting the child’s health. The family was denied additional housing. The criminal case is being investigated by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Komi Republic. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, requested a report from the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Komi Republic, Andrey Isaev, on the preliminary and final results of the investigation of the criminal case. The implementation of the assignment is under control in the central apparatus of the department. It is worth noting that as a result of the check carried out by the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Komi Republic, two criminal cases have been initiated for the crime stipulated by part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence ) in connection with published information in the media about improper living conditions of residents of several buildings in the city of Pechora and the inactivity of the local administration and service organization to take measures to eliminate violations. One of the criminal cases (in relation to building number 12 on Socialist Street) was initiated based on materials collected by the prosecutor’s office. According to the investigation, officials of the management did not properly monitor the work of the service organization (LLC “VM Crystal”), did not make any demands on it, and did not take measures to replace it. As a result, including the inadequate quality of performance of the above-mentioned organization of its duties, the abnormal state of the common property of some apartment buildings (West Street, 47, Socialist Street, 12, 20, 69, 110 Pechora) was recorded and a threat to the life and health of citizens living in these buildings. Earlier, information was published in the media, social networks, and messengers that residents of several buildings in the city of Pechora have long been facing serious problems (abnormal condition of basements, roofs, common areas, communications, unsanitary conditions, lack of water, etc.), but neither the local administration nor the service organization are taking measures to solve the problems that concern citizens. The criminal cases have been consolidated into a single production.
