A criminal investigation has been completed against the director of a management company in Pavlovsk, accused of the death of an 11-year-old boy. The investigation established that due to the criminal inaction of the head of the management company, carbon monoxide accumulated in one of the apartments of the residential building, which caused the death of the child and injury to his mother – she suffered minor damage to her health. The case with the approved indictment has been sent to court for consideration on the merits, the investigator for the Voronezh Region reported on Friday, July 26. The tragedy occurred on May 19 last year in an apartment building on Vostochnaya Street. At the same time, on March 1, the director of the management company received an order that the smoke and chimney pipes in several apartments should not be allowed to continue to operate, and the gas equipment must be disconnected due to a number of violations identified. The order was ignored. The head of the administrative organization will be tried under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person through negligence). The article provides for up to 6 years of imprisonment. “The investigative bodies have collected sufficient evidence confirming the involvement of the accused in the accused act,” the Investigative Committee emphasized in September last year, in one of the houses in the village of Yendovishche, Semiluksky District. The bodies of a 34-year-old man, his 32-year-old wife, a 16-year-old teenager and a 2-year-old girl were found in the district. The entire family died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
