Primorsky theaters and galleries have prepared exhibitions, performances, master classes and performances of various genres for Vladivostok residents as part of the “Night of Arts”, which takes place on Saturday, November 4. The robot “Plato” meets the townspeople at the Primorsky Art Gallery, and at the Pushkin Theater, guests can get acquainted with “The Collapse of the Soviet Union” – this is the name of the photo exhibition by St. Petersburg artist Valery Plotnikov. The VL.ru correspondent also visited the “dark” side of culture. At the Primorsky Art Gallery, the event is held under the banner of the avant-garde and is inspired by the recently completed joint exhibition with the Tretyakov Gallery dedicated to the Russian avant-garde. Now the gallery owners have presented the coastal avant-garde, collecting works based on the concept of 12 archetypes. For example, the “Child” archetype combines the naive art of Vladimir Pogrebnyak and “First Impression of Vladivostok” by Yuri Platonov. “We thought it would be great to look at our Primorye authors through archetypes: both artists of the avant-garde era, the beginning of the 20th century, and those who work in Vladivostok today and are the heirs of the avant-garde. We created such a blitz exhibition: from the collection of the Primorsky Art Gallery and several works taken by artists from their studios. People often think that names that go down in history are something significant, and those who work today are not worthy of attention. But avant-garde artists also once broke through the views and norms that existed in society,” said Alena Datsenko, director of the Primorsky State Art Gallery. In parallel with the exhibition, guests will be able to take part in a master class on printmaking, play the “museum lotto” created by gallery staff, and watch a performance by the School of Creative Industries. As part of the performance, guests are offered art quotes, white T-shirts and paints: inspired by the words, guests must create their own painting. The students themselves also became original art objects, with avant-garde works painted on their faces. “We contemplate the image, get acquainted with art. It is very useful that today there are not only paintings by artists, but also master classes and games. We came to support a child who is participating in a presentation at the School of Creative Industries. We present the child, we ourselves get involved – so we go like a locomotive of art,” said Yulia Gusarova. The attention of townspeople in the gallery is attracted by the robot Plato, who helps guests, takes photographs of them and answers questions. “Lady, I’m a jack of all trades!” – the device declares, reads fairy tales and talks about artists. Today, the art gallery hosts many workshops, games and events. In particular, the gallery will present a performance by the volunteer club “Geese and Sweets.” The building on Aleutskaya, 12, will be open until midnight, and the gallery space on Partizansky Prospekt, 12, will be open until 11:00 p.m. The events there will no longer be dedicated to the avant-garde, but to the “eastern branch” of emigration. . Russian artists working in Asia in the twentieth century. The Pushkin Theater also prepared many events for the “Night of the Arts”. The event is also attended by the multimedia park “Russia – My History”, the Puppet Theater, the Youth Theater, the Primorsky Regional Philharmonic and other cultural institutions of the city. The participation of the Youth Theater in the “Night of the Arts” can be called formal. As part of the promotion, guests in the restored and open building are shown only the interactive journey “Theater Route”, but the show is closed and only those who previously won invitations during the drawing will be able to watch it. As part of the “Night of Arts,” the Pushkin Theater also opened its doors. Moreover, if initially access was announced only by registration, then in fact citizens had the right to enter freely and free of charge. At 19:00, guests were shown a graduation performance by students of the theater department of the Far Eastern State Institute of Arts, “Once More About Love,” based on the play by Eduard Radzinsky. Seven couples: seven Natashas and seven Evdokimovs presented different episodes of one love story. The evening will continue at the Pushkin Theater of the Far Eastern Federal University with a presentation of the jazz project “Molto” at 21:00 and a photo exhibition “Accident in the Soviet Union”, dedicated to famous actors, musicians, artists and writers of that time. . work until 22:00.
