A charity auction of rare collectible alcohol, which is not sold for free, was held in Moscow for the fifteenth time. The ideologist and host of “White Truffle” was traditionally the president of the Simple group of companies, Maxim Kashirin. The restaurant’s chef, winner of two Michelin stars, Nino Graziano, created a special menu with truffles from Piedmont, and the Italian house Borgogno acted as an official partner of the event and sent its exquisite wines to the dishes. During the dinner, 13 lots were raffled off from such famous houses as Capannelle, Borgogno, Montevertine, Lanson, Frapin, Darroze, Roberto Voerzio, Frescobaldi, Zenato, Banfi, Bibi Graetz and Nonino. Over the course of the evening, 42.5 million rubles were raised for the treatment of seriously ill children. All funds will be sent to the Life Line Foundation to help children with serious illnesses. “This year we are holding the White Truffle for the 15th time – and this means a lot to me,” says Maxim Kashirin. “I want people to take every opportunity to show their involvement.” After all, even a small gesture, unexpected help or a small amount can inspire hope. “It seems to me that now more than ever it is important to be together and help those who need it, especially young children.” In November, Simple Group launched another charity project called “Month of Good Deeds”, within which 10 rubles from the cost of each bottle sold are transferred to the fund. Anyone can take part in the charity event by purchasing any alcoholic drink in the SimpleWine network of wine stores until the end of the month.
