A quarantine was established within a radius of 2 km from the market, the cost of which amounted to 1.2 million rubles, and meat sellers were convicted. A criminal case has been initiated against the seller under Part 1 of Art. 249 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of veterinary rules, which through negligence resulted in the spread of an epizootic or other serious consequences), which was then sent to court.
