Seven reasons why Russian tourists should choose Oman – Russia today Posting in CHAT: Russia Oman is a state on the Arabian Sea between Yemen and the Emirates. The capital is Muscat. We decided to fly there for several reasons. 1. There is a direct comfortable flight from Moscow – 5.5 hours. 2. No visa required. 3. The party and traffic in Dubai is alarming. We have enough of this in Moscow, but we really wanted to escape. 4. The construction of skyscrapers is prohibited in Oman. They began to get rich and develop later than neighboring Doha and Dubai, and decided to follow the path of preserving the Arab flavor. The buildings of all cities are low, usually up to 4 floors and with pronounced Arabic motifs, which greatly distinguishes Oman from its neighbors. 5. Oman has excellent hotels, beaches and restaurants. I’ll write separately about our hotel – it’s excellent. 6. The nature in Oman is as diverse as possible, especially compared to alternatives such as Doha or Dubai. There are rocks, mountains and dunes. Magnificent sandy beaches, clear sea. 7. And, of course, the weather. We visited February 2-8 and the weather was just perfect. During the day it’s +25-26, in the sun it’s all 30, but because of the sea breeze it’s not at all hot. In the evening it is very comfortable - about 22-23 degrees Celsius. The sea, how I love it, but my wife was cool. We stayed at the Al Bustan Palace by Ritz-Carlton, (https://www.booking.com/hotel/om/al-bustan-palace-ritz-carlton) this is, if not the best hotel in Oman, then one of the best. It's literally 15-20 minutes from the city and about 40 minutes from the international airport. It is located in a dead end - there is no road anymore, just stones. It is surrounded on two sides by rocks, and on the third by the sea and a beautiful beach. Maximum confidentiality. The hotel is not small, a very large and beautiful area, just a huge private beach (by the way, this is the only hotel in Muscat that has its own beach). There are 3 very tasty restaurants on site (standard with buffet and international cuisine, Mediterranean with seafood on the shore and Chinese). All three are right, no questions asked. A beautiful and authentic spa center hidden among the rocks, a huge sports complex (tennis, paddle board, everything is there), a children's pool and a fairly large children's area and a children's club - it is also very good with children and at the same time they do not interfere with anyone's relaxation. And most importantly, it has its own coastline with a magnificent and very long beach. Due to the fact that the place is a dead end, it is not so easy to get there and there are almost no people on the beach, which creates a feeling of complete privacy. And the rocks on the sides complement the color of this place. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Oman. Just really good. source Source link Source link
