Anadyr – Online – Orthodox Christians held a car religious procession Posting in CHAT: Russia The column began to form at 11:00, after the divine liturgy in the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Anadyr. Thirteen minutes later, 15 vehicles, from all-terrain vehicles to cars, had gathered in the parking lot in front of the television center. Orthodox Christians attached flags in the form of the St. George Ribbon, banners of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and Russia, as well as banners “Savior Not Made by Hands” to their cars. “We will go from the city of Anadyr to the city of Ugolnye Kopi. We want to show that we are Christians, we are people of good will. We want to prove that we are bearers of the spiritual and moral values inherent in our people. Now, more than ever, it is important to preserve the heritage that we inherited from our ancestors,” Archbishop Ipaty of Anadyr and Chukotka addressed the event participants. The journey from the district capital to the coal mines took about 45 minutes. During this time, the cars covered more than 15 km along the main streets of populated areas and moved along the ice crossing across the Anadyr Estuary. In the village, Archbishop Ipatiy of Anadyr and Chukotka and High Priest Vasily performed a prayer service in the Church of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God. The second service took place in the Church of St. Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir, which was under construction. “The Russian army had the motto on its awards and banners: “For the Faith, the Tsar and the Motherland.” Our Orthodox faith is a traditional value for Russia. A person remains an atheist until he encounters special difficulties in his life. Now our army defends our faith, and faith, in turn, helps our guys remain strong in spirit and win,” noted Vladislav Nabiev, Deputy Governor of Chukotka, after the rally. Let us recall that the organizer of the auto-religious motor rally, the procession of the Cross, was held by the regional branch of the World Russian People's Council. This is the first large-scale event of a public organization in Chukotka. Activists dedicated the action to victory over the enemies of Orthodoxy and participants in the special military operation.
