Named ways to instill in a child a love of reading – Russia today Posting in CHAT: Russia In order for a child to start reading during the holidays, he should be motivated in different ways, notes teacher Victoria Podsukhina. According to her, reading is important for a student not only for mastering the literature curriculum, but also for success in education in general. Reading develops logical thinking, imagination, and expands vocabulary, Podsukhina emphasized. She noted that for schoolchildren, books are a symbol of the educational process, so they can cause rejection, especially in the summer, writes Gazeta.Ru. The expert suggested rewarding the child for reading books. So, you can let him go to the cinema or amusement park. It is important that for a child such a reward is a powerful argument in favor of reading. You can also create a family reading club where all family members can discuss what they are reading. Podsukhina emphasized that the books chosen should be interesting to the child. For example, teenagers are often interested in adventure, fantasy, popular science literature, and even cartoons. Older students will enjoy detective stories, adventure literature and science fiction. In addition, the student will be motivated to read by visiting the library, where he will be able to familiarize himself with various types of literature and make his own choice. At the same time, you can go to the library with your friends or family. Previously, the State Duma supported a bill limiting the access of foreign agents to books in libraries. The Mercy Foundation will help instill in schoolchildren an interest in becoming a doctor • Russia today Posting in CHAT: Russia“`htmlThe site was opened with the support of the charity foundation “Mercy”, which allocated a grant from the “Steel Tree” program for its work. In 2023, Zarinsk pharmacist Elena Pugacheva successfully implemented her idea. She proposed opening a site for career guidance for young people and a pharmacy museum for everyone on the premises of the city pharmacy. According to Elena, this is an excellent opportunity for schoolchildren of the city and students of the Zarinsky district to get acquainted with medical specialties and, perhaps, in the future connect their fate with the profession of a doctor. And for all residents there is a place where the history of the region’s pharmacy will be told in detail. After the opening of the museum exhibition, a cooperation agreement was concluded between the pharmacy and the Altai State Medical University. Now university teachers come to Zarinsk and conduct classes for children in the pharmacy-museum. Some of the first participants in career guidance meetings were students from two city schools and children from educational institutions in rural settlements. Elena Pugacheva gave them a tour of the museum and told them about the exhibits. University representatives introduced schoolchildren to the profession of epidemiologist and conducted a “Big Hands” master class. In the experimental room, under the guidance of doctors, they independently produced a therapeutic antiseptic gel, learned how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and measure blood pressure with a tonometer. High school students were told what exams they need to take to enter a medical school and what faculties await students. “We not only helped open a career guidance site for future doctors in Altai,” says Yana Shaforostova, executive director of the Mercy Foundation. “The Steel Tree project actually helped preserve the only municipal pharmacy in Zarinsk for the townspeople, of which there are only six left in the region.” Over seven years, the good deeds of the Steel Tree program have united 30 thousand people. More than 90 million rubles were allocated for program grants. In 2023, the foundation issued 79 grants to active residents and public organizations of five regions of Russia.
