Despite his age, the war veteran continues to engage in public activities, conduct Courage lessons in schools and meet with young people. Victory Day over militarist Japan and the end of World War II is a personal holiday for Alexander Vladimirovich. This time, he became the main hero of a meeting with students from colleges, technical schools and schools in Samara. The graduate of city school No. 12 was not called up because of his age, and then, the veteran recalls, he got a job as a grinder at a machine-tool plant. The military path of Alexander Lyubimov will begin in 1944 (first the Karelian Front, then the 3rd Ukrainian Front), and will end near Vienna, where he will celebrate Victory Day. The front-line soldier was demobilized only in 1956 – he had to fight with Bandera. And no matter how many years pass, – says the repeated participant in the Victory Parade on Red Square and a participant in the defeat of militarist Japan, – memory preserves everything in the smallest details. “War and life are incompatible,” says Alexander Lyubimov, “all of us without exception wanted to live, but millions laid down their heads on the battlefield, gave their lives for the future.
