The Vympel shipyard (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation USC) has completed the construction of 44 boats of project MC001 for the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The lead ship of the project has passed a full cycle of tests. The ship’s hull is made of aluminum-magnesium alloy, the superstructure is made of composite material. The length of the boat is 6 meters, the speed is up to 75 km/h. After completion of the acceptance procedure by the representative office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the boats will be delivered to their home sites. They are planned to be supplied to GIMS units in the regions of Moscow, Leningrad, Kaliningrad, Karelia, Yakutia and other regions of the country. Project MC001 boats are designed to perform patrol, service and marching functions, and conduct search and rescue operations in inland waters and the territorial sea. The technical design of the boats was developed by the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau (part of USC). Working design documentation was developed by the Vympel plant. https://www.aoosk.ru
