Today, Rostov Oblast celebrates its 87th birthday. Here, the steppe expanses meet the azure waters of the Don, here lies the land that we proudly call our small Motherland. There are 463 municipalities in the region and more than four million people live there. The uniqueness of our region lies in its multinationality – representatives of more than 150 nationalities and ethnic groups live here in peace and harmony. Rostov Oblast is famous for its diverse industrial complex. Large enterprises in agriculture, metallurgy and mechanical engineering form the economic potential of the region. In addition, science and tourism are actively developing in the region. Taganrog, as an integral part of the Don region, makes a significant contribution to its prosperity. Residents of our city contribute to the development of not only Taganrog, but the entire region with their daily work. On this holiday, I would like to note that people are the main wealth of our region. Each resident of the Rostov Oblast with their own efforts creates the present and future of not only their small Motherland, but the entire country.
