Addressing those present, the head of the region emphasized: it is very significant that such a significant site is opening on the eve of City Day, almost a century after its creation. “Everything is combined here – culture, history, traditions. Here the role of personality in history is combined, Konstantin Pavlovich Golovkin with his life path, talent and creativity set an example in many areas of life, showed an example of how to be a patriot, a professional, a real researcher and creator,” noted Vyacheslav Fedorishchev. The Golovkin house complex is one of the most iconic symbols of old Samara, representing a unique example of Samara modernism. The house was designed by the owner himself, businessman Konstantin Pavlovich Golovkin, as a summer creative residence. Here he painted Volga landscapes, walked, admired sunsets, studied astronomy, spent time with his family, organized meetings and get-togethers. The landscape and architectural ensemble of the complex is represented by a residential building consisting of three volumes with high narrow windows, sculptures of two elephants, clearly visible from the Volga, a female sculpture in front of the entrance to the building and a park area. . surrounding the house and descending to the river. The house, built in 1908-1909, is an architectural monument of federal significance. In recent years, the building was not used and gradually deteriorated. At the initiative of the public and city defenders who appealed to the State Duma deputy, restoration work began in 2020. “This is a clear example of how the government should listen to the people,” Nikolai Ovsienko emphasized, wishing prosperity to the Samara Region. As Alexander Khinshtein said, the building was transferred to federal ownership and assigned to the Samara State Technical University. The university developed a concept for the further use of the complex – the creation of a school of architects on its basis. In addition to the fact that young specialists will study here, this building will serve as a museum and a public space. Today, the opening of the ArchSlon Creative Industries Center of the Samara State Technical University took place in this unique complex. “I am very glad that we are opening not only a museum object, a restored example of beautiful architectural art, but also a new large creative cluster. Here, the most talented children who study at our wonderful educational institution will create new meanings,” noted. head of the region. This building is for all residents of Samara, for all residents of our city. We will revive the good tradition of the Kuibyshev era, when newlyweds came here against the backdrop of elephants. Currently, the historical appearance of the building, its original color, has been completely restored, the territory has been landscaped, and a descent to the Volga has been equipped. The building will also house a museum telling about the city and Konstantin Golovkin.
