The Chairman of the State Duma stated this at a meeting with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji, which took place as part of an official visit to Beijing.
According to Vyacheslav Volodin, relations between Russia and China are comprehensive; the dynamics are set by the leaders of the two countries – Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.
“Thanks to the heads of state, our relations have reached the highest mutual understanding. We are more than strategic partners. Today’s meeting will contribute to strengthening these relations,” noted the State Duma Speaker.
In turn, Zhao Leji assured that the NPC Standing Committee is also ready to do everything to develop inter-parliamentary cooperation with Russian colleagues.
“Under the strategic leadership of Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, China-Russia relations maintain the correct development dynamics,” said the Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee.
Let us note that a confidential dialogue has developed between the Chairman of the State Duma and the Speaker of the Parliament of the People’s Republic of China.
During the meeting, Vyacheslav Volodin invited Zhao Leji to pay an official visit to Moscow. The Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee accepted the invitation with gratitude.
